Christmas Chocolates

We had a super saturday and a lady in our ward made these cream filled chocolates with whatever flavoring you wish to put in it. It was very easy so I wanted to share her recipe.

Christmas Chocolates
1/3 cup butter (softened, but not melted)
1/3 cup light corn syrup
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp flavoring- mint, orange, vanilla, raspberry- adjust according to taste
1lb Powdered sugar

Mix the above ingredients until smooth and has a "silly putty" feel. May need to add more powdered sugar if too sticky or if to stiff add a little more corn syrup. Form into balls or squares. Freeze on cookie sheet with wax paper.

Chocolate
1 12oz package chocolate chip or dipping chocolate
2 TBls Paraffin Wax (may use shortening)-this is to help make the chocolate last longer without bloom (white spots, you can leave it out if you are going to eat them soon)

Melt chocolate and wax together in a double boiler. (If you don't have a double boiler make one using a pot filled with water and a pyrex glass bowl over it.) Keep melted chocolate warm and begin dipping candies place on waxed paper. Let set. Enjoy
